Adam Jackson Ltd,   just a small insight on how it all began …

I knew from an early age that I wanted to run my own business maintaining and selling new and used ATV’s and garden machinery.

I started my working career at Nigel Birkett motorcycles in Broughton on a work experience programme from school and during summer holidays. On leaving school, Birketts offered me a job where I served my apprenticeship reaching NVQ Level.

After about five years, whilst still young and no commitments, I left and did the summer harvest job driving grain for a large farm near Newcastle.

When the harvest season finished here in the UK I went to New Zealand to work for a harvest contractor there.  After two years of jetting off to the other side of the globe, I decided to stay put in the UK.

The turning point came when I was approached by Yamaha Motor UK to become a Yamaha agent in the area. This was a great opportunity to have, so work began on the premises we have here today.

Our Staff:

We have Adam, Bill, Garry and Jordan in our workshop and parts.

Dawn is our office secretary. She is also Adam’s partner and mother of their two girls, Isla and Erin.

Stephen is our Van driver who operates our Collection and Delivery Service.

Lee, Ian and Dave operate our fencing team.

With the support of Yamaha and our family we are very proud of where we have got to today.
